INTERVIEW

How and when did you start playing basketball?

Before I started playing basketball I was playing football for six years. One day when I was 11 years old, I was playing basketball with my friends and one coach saw me and invited me to join his basketball club. In the following year I started to train hard and dedicated and manage to join our M12 national team.

You had a good tournament with Macedonia. What are your thoughts about the U16 European Championship?

Yes, I had a good tournament, but having on my mind for what I’m prepared of and knowing what I can do I’m sure I could have done much better. It was a great experience for me and I’m expecting to show my full potential at the EC M18 next year if I earn an invitation for the national team.

What are your general thoughts about last season? You also played professionally with Feniks 2010.

It was a successful season for me because I’ve played in several competitions М16, M18, Third national senior league as well in the First professional league in Macedonia with Fenix 2010 where I have earned respectable minutes taking in consideration my age. All in all, it was a hard but very valuable season since I’ve had played too many games gettering experience and knowledge.

What are your expectations for this season?

For this season my first competition is M18, there is also an idea to play in the Second senior professional league as loaned player to some other club and of course I hope to earn solid minutes in the First national professional league with Fenix 2010 as well.

What are your long-term goals?

My first goal is someday to play at college in USA but my only wish is one day to became an NBA player.

What are the skills that you think make a difference in your game?

I think that my main strengths are: excellent ball handling with great change of speed and pace, fast transition and finishing, full overview on the court and of course my sharp and fast decisions.

Which skills do you want to improve in your game?

Taking in consideration that I’m 16 years old I must improve all my current qualities and to reduce all my weaknesses as much as I can, but by my opinion I must work especially on my shooting off a dribble and to work continuously on my body definition.

Do you have a pre-game ritual?

I don’t have a specific ritual before the game, but I’m trying to stay focused on the warmups before the game.

Who is your favorite basketball player?

My favorite basketball player is Kobe Bryant because of his thought mentality, his love for the game and his great ability to score.

Which basketball player would you like to play with in the future?

I would like to play with Kyrie Irving because with his creativity, sharpness and playing abilities he is one of the best players to watch and learn from.
